Job Description & How to Apply Below
Amadora is a premium artisanal ice cream brand, crafting small-batch ice cream from real ingredients — no premixes, no shortcuts — out of our central production kitchen in Chennai. We run 20 stores across Chennai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad and are in an active growth phase. As we scale, the integrity of our product depends entirely on the strength of the chain that moves it from kitchen to cone.
The Role
We're looking for a Supply Chain Manager / Senior Executive to run the day-to-day operations of our three-city supply chain — procurement, inventory, logistics, and vendor management. This is a role for someone who's spent the last few years in the trenches of a perishable or temperature-sensitive supply chain and is ready to take real ownership of how product moves from kitchen to cone, every single day.
What you'll own
Cold chain execution:
Day-to-day responsibility for temperature integrity across dispatch, transit, and store delivery — catching and correcting issues before they affect product quality.
Procurement & vendor management:
Managing supplier relationships across dairy, specialty imports (stabilisers, purées, gelato pastes, flavourings), and packaging — negotiating terms and ensuring supply continuity.
Inventory & replenishment:
Running the demand forecasting and store indent process to keep all 20 stores stocked without overproduction or wastage.
Logistics coordination:
Managing the 3PL and transport network connecting Chennai production to Bengaluru and Hyderabad reliably and cost-effectively.
Cost discipline:
Tracking landed and distribution costs closely and identifying opportunities to bring them down without compromising quality.
Process & reporting:
Maintaining SOPs and reporting that keep the function running cleanly, and flagging where processes need to evolve as we add stores.
What we're looking for
4–5 years of supply chain, procurement, or logistics experience — ideally in FMCG, food & beverage, dairy, QSR, or another temperature-sensitive/perishable goods business.
Direct experience with cold chain or perishable logistics is strongly preferred.
A track record of vendor negotiation and supplier management.
Experience working across a multi-city or multi-location footprint.
Strong analytical chops — comfortable working with data and Excel to make and defend decisions.
A bias for action: someone who notices a problem and fixes it, rather than waiting to be told.
Success in your first 12 months looks like
Cold chain reliability is consistently met across all three cities, with quality complaints near zero.
Stockouts and wastage both come down as the replenishment process tightens.
You've identified and delivered a measurable reduction in landed or distribution cost per unit.
You're running the function with minimal hand-holding, with documentation and SOPs in good enough shape that a new team member could ramp up quickly.
