Senior Contracts Manager (Legal Division)| ( Chennai – Perungudi)

The Senior Contracts Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end management of contracts across major EPC, marine, and offshore projects, ensuring all contractual obligations are met while minimizing business risk. This includes handling pre- and post-contract activities, providing expert advice on contractual and commercial issues, and leading the negotiation, drafting, administration, and closure of complex contracts.

The role involves close coordination with project management, procurement, legal, and finance teams, ensuring alignment with company objectives and compliance with international standards such as FIDIC and NEC. The incumbent will also mentor and develop a contracts team, manage claims and variations, and support dispute resolution and risk mitigation strategies.

Key Focus Areas:

Oversee the full contract lifecycle for large-scale EPC/marine/offshore projects.

Draft, negotiate, and manage client and subcontractor agreements.

Identify and mitigate contractual and commercial risks.

Support project teams with legal and contractual advice.

Ensure compliance with company policies, quality, and HSE standards.

Drive continuous improvement in contract management systems and practices.

Qualifications &

Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Law / Engineering / Business Administration (Master’s or certifications like CIPS, RICS, CPSM preferred).

8–15 years of experience in EPC, construction, marine, or offshore fabrication industries.

Strong knowledge of contract law, risk management, and international EPC frameworks.

Excellent negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills.

Fluent in English with proficiency in contract administration and documentation.
