Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a CNC Turning Operator, based in Chennai. The CNC Turning Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC turning machines to produce components according to technical specifications. Daily tasks include loading raw materials, adjusting machine settings, inspecting finished products for quality, maintaining equipment, and ensuring smooth production processes. Collaboration with the quality control team to meet precision and tolerances is essential in this role.
Qualifications
Proficient in CNC turning machine operations, including setup, programming, and troubleshooting.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
Experienced in using metrology tools such as calipers, micrometers, and CMM for quality inspections.
Knowledge of cutting tools, tool changes, and maintenance procedures in CNC machining.
Strong attention to detail, ability to maintain tolerances, and focus on precision manufacturing.
Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with production and quality control teams.
Basic understanding of safety standards and protocols in an industrial environment.
Diploma or certification in mechanical engineering, machining, or a related field is preferred.
Previous experience in automotive or related precision engineering sectors is advantageous.
