Field Service Engineer; SMT

Position: Field Service Engineer (SMT)
Purpose of the Role

The incumbent is responsible to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and support SMT equipment in order to ensure maximum uptime, performance, and reliability of SMT equipment.

Technical Skills Required

• Basic understanding of SMT Equipements like Pick-and-place machines (e.g., Yamaha, Panasonic, Juki), Solder paste printers, Reflow ovens, AOI/X-ray inspection systems

• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical or electronic issues

• Understanding control systems, sensors, motors, and pneumatic

• Familiarity with standard maintenance procedures and schedulers

• Understanding of basic PLC functions

• Schematics, wiring diagrams, user manuals, SOPs

• Basic IT/Networking skills

Job Responsibilities

• Installation and Commissioning:

Set up and calibrate SMT machines (e.g., pick-and-place, screen printers, reflow ovens).

• Maintenance and Repair:

Perform routine preventive maintenance and respond to equipment breakdowns.
• Troubleshooting:
Diagnose hardware, software, and process issues to minimize downtime.

• Customer Support:

Provide technical support and training to machine operators and engineers.

• Process Optimization:

Assist with process improvement for better efficiency, quality, and yield.

• Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain service logs and generate reports for each service or issue handled.

Education

Qualification:

Diploma/BTech (Electronics or Electrical) or equivalent, BSc computer science , Diploma in computer science .

Experience  - 1 to 3 Years
