ITW Global Automotive in India has 2 manufacturing facilities in Pune & Chennai and caters to majority of the Auto OEM’s both national and multinational and their tier suppliers.

The Opportunity:

Responsible for managing procurement activities, vendor negotiations, and ensuring timely sourcing of materials at optimal cost and quality. Oversees purchase orders, maintains supplier relationships, and supports inventory control to meet organizational requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities :

- Handle procurement of direct materials including:
Plastic raw materials, Injection moulding components, Sheet metal raw materials, Bought-out parts, Cold forged components, Die castings & other automotive components (import & domestic)
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers to ensure quality and cost competitiveness.
- Monitor supplier performance ratings and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Negotiate pricing with suppliers to achieve cost targets.
- Implement cost reduction strategies without compromising quality and delivery timelines.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted production flow.
- Align material planning with project timelines Of End of Production schedules.
- Ensure adherence to company procurement policies and automotive industry standards.
- Maintain documentation and compliance for audits and certifications.
- Address and resolve issues related to Quality concerns, Delivery delays and Material shortages
- Ensure that Project SOP (Start of Production) is not affected due to material shortages.
- Plan procurement schedules to support SOP without disruptions.

Experience:

5 - 8 yrs of experience in relevant field. BE / Diploma in Mechanical / Plastic Engineering, Diploma-Plastic Technology
