Role Overview

The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing the production operations within our plastic injection molding facility. This role involves managing the production team, ensuring the implementation of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles, and optimizing production processes to achieve high levels of efficiency and quality. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the manufacturing industry, a strong understanding of OEE metrics, and a proven ability to lead teams towards achieving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Production Management:
Oversee the entire production process of plastic injection molding, ensuring efficiency and quality standards are met.
TPM Implementation:
Lead the implementation of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles, focusing on Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to enhance productivity.
Team Leadership:
Manage and mentor a team of production staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety.
Process Optimization:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to reduce waste and enhance productivity.
Quality Control:
Ensure that all products meet the required quality standards through effective quality control processes.
Budget Management:
Assist in the preparation and management of production budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations.

Collaboration:

Work closely with other departments such as Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and Engineering to ensure smooth operations.
Reporting:
Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, KPIs, and improvement initiatives to senior management.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
Minimum 10 years of experience in production management within the plastic injection molding industry.
Strong knowledge of TPM principles and OEE metrics.
Proven track record of leading and improving production teams and processes.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficient in production planning and inventory management.
Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
