Senior Accounts Manager

Role Overview
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive  Senior Accounts Manager  to manage and strengthen Zocket’s accounting and financial operations. This role is critical to ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and smooth day-to-day finance operations as we scale globally.
As a Senior Accounts Manager, you’ll work closely with the Head of Finance and cross-functional teams to maintain financial discipline, streamline processes, and support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Operations
Manage end-to-end accounting operations including GL, AP, AR, payroll, and reconciliations.
Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closures.
Maintain books of accounts in compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
Oversee accounting for global entities, including India and the US.
Financial Reporting & Compliance
Prepare MIS reports, financial statements, and variance analyses for leadership review.
Support statutory audits, internal audits, and compliance reporting.
Ensure adherence to applicable accounting standards (Ind AS / IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with external auditors, consultants, and banks.
Taxation & Regulatory Compliance
Handle direct and indirect tax compliances including GST, TDS, income tax, and filings.
Support multi-country tax compliance and documentation, including cross-border transactions.
Ensure timely filings and closure of notices or queries from authorities.
Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
Monitor cash flows, receivables, and payables to ensure healthy working capital.
Track budgets and assist in cost control and expense optimization.
Support P&L and balance sheet reviews with actionable insights.
Systems & Process Improvement
Work with accounting tools such as Quick Books, Tally, ERP systems, and billing platforms.
Drive process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
Support automation and system integrations for accounting and reporting.
Collaboration & Team Support
Partner with Sales, Operations, HR, and Product teams for finance-related support.
Mentor junior team members and ensure adherence to best accounting practices.
Act as a reliable finance SPOC for internal stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For
Education & Experience
Chartered Accountant (CA) required.
6–10 years of experience in accounting and finance roles, preferably in SaaS, tech, or startups.
Hands-on experience managing India and/or US accounts is a strong plus.
Prior experience handling audits and statutory compliances.
Technical & Functional Skills
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and compliance frameworks.

Experience with Quick Books, Tally, ERP tools, and Excel/Google Sheets.
Understanding of SaaS revenue models, invoicing, and subscription accounting is preferred.
High attention to detail, ownership mindset, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
