General Practitioner - Town Gate Practice

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed

Salaried General Practitioner to join our friendly, well-established GP practice located in a semi-rural setting on the border of England and Wales. This is an excellent opportunity for a GP who values high-quality, patient-centred care and wishes to work within a supportive, forward-thinking team.

Our practice serves a stable and diverse patient population and benefits from strong multidisciplinary team working, modern clinical systems, and a positive workplace culture. We welcome applications from newly qualified GPs as well as experienced clinicians.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Provide high-quality general medical services in line with NHS Wales, GMS contract and GMC standards.

Undertake face-to-face, telephone and digital consultations for acute, chronic and preventative care.

Manage patients with long-term conditions, promoting continuity of care in a semi-rural setting.

Carry out home visits where clinically appropriate.

Prescribe safely and cost-effectively in accordance with local and national guidelines.

Review and action clinical correspondence and investigation results in a timely manner.

Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team and attend practice meetings as required.

Participate in quality improvement, clinical audit, QOF and enhanced services.

Maintain accurate clinical records and adhere to clinical governance, safeguarding and health and safety policies.

Engage in CPD, appraisal and revalidation in line with GMC requirements.

• Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
• Inclusion on the NHS England or NHS Wales GP Performers List (or eligible for inclusion)
• Commitment to high-quality patient care and professional development
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Eligibility to work in the UK (We are unable to offer sponsorship)
• Interest in a clinical area such as minor surgery, teaching, Implant/coil fits or chronic disease management
• Awareness of cross-border healthcare considerations (England/Wales)
