Personal Care Assistant - Chepstow

Prospero Teaching is working with a large SEN provision in the Chepstow area to recruit personal care assistants to start ASAP. This is a long‑term position with a likelihood of going permanent for the successful candidate.

You will be required to support pupils from early years to KS2 with PMLD on a 1:1 basis. The ideal candidate will need to be resilient, as the young people may exhibit challenging behaviours. You must have previous experience within a similar role, whether in a school or care setting.

• Previous experience in a similar role is essential, whether it be adult or child, care or school setting
• Up to date safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
• Manual handling training is highly desired
• Child and adult DBS on the update service, or willingness to get one
• Team Teach training is highly desired

• Hold right to work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional references
