Picture a warehouse. Now make it bigger. Now double its size. When your main product is Aluminium used in windows, doors, conservatories and Balustrades you need a lot of space. To give you a realistic idea, you could fit four full-sized football pitches in our warehouse.

We produce tonnes of aluminium systems on a daily basis. Our production team are always working to make sure we have the stock we need for our customers, when they need it. But before anything can leave the factory, someone needs to plan, schedule and coordinate the flow of materials to make sure everything runs like clockwork. That’s where you come in.

As a Senior Material Scheduler at AluK, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring that the right materials are in the right place at the right time. You’ll work closely with production, warehouse, procurement, and dispatch teams to maintain seamless stock availability, optimise storage space, and keep customer orders on schedule.

You’ll receive full training on our systems and processes, including our sales order processing platform, production planning tools, and stock management systems. What we need from you is:

  • A proactive, collaborative approach — you’ll be working across multiple teams to keep things moving smoothly.
  • The confidence to take ownership and make decisions that keep production on track.

This is a role at the heart of our operation. Every delivery we make, every customer we satisfy, starts with the work you do behind the scenes.

A day in the life of a Senior Material Scheduler will involve:

  • Setting the overall capacity and production plans of each work station inline with company forecasts and team capacity.
  • Reviewing and making sure forecasts are set to optimum levels, against all product categories, according to both historical data and any forecast information.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of all works & purchase orders, including costs and completion dates
  • Overseeing the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) process for the procurement of both components and stock items.

To be a successful Senior Material Scheduler, you’ll need:

  • Experience with in a manufacturing environment with made to stock and made to order production
  • Ability to build, maintain and influence collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to prioritise and manage your own workload.
