Based in Chepstow, this temporary Class 2 HGV Driver position offers up to £15.66 per hour. Operating Monday to Friday from 06:00 to 16:30, you will deliver white goods, kitchen units, and worktops across the region. Monday - Friday 06:00 - 16:30 Pay Rate: £15.65 per hour We are currently recruiting Class 2 Day Drivers for immediate starts at our client's busy site in Chepstow. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity with a global leader in transport and logistics, offering long-term career prospects for the right candidates. As a Class 2 Driver, you'll be delivering a range of goods including white goods, kitchen units and worktops.
You'll typically complete 12-15 drops per day, working alongside a driver's mate for home deliveries where required.
- Safely operating a Class 2 vehicle in line with company and legal requirements.
- Completing daily vehicle checks and ensuring compliance with VOSA regulations.
- Carrying out both home and kerbside deliveries.
- Delivering white goods, kitchen units and worktops.
- Completing approximately 12-15 drops per day.
- Using handheld scanners and completing delivery paperwork.
- Providing excellent customer service at every delivery.
- Working safely as part of a two-person delivery team where applicable.
- Valid Class 2 (Category
C) licence. - Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Minimum 6 months Class 2 driving experience.
- Multidrop delivery experience.
- No more than 6 penalty points with no DD, DR, IN or CD endorsements.
- Good knowledge of the UK road network.
- Physically fit due to the manual nature of the role.
- Positive attitude and strong communication skills.
