We're looking for an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to lead our warehouse operation in Chepstow.
This is a key leadership role within the depot, responsible for the safe, efficient and cost-effective running of a busy warehouse operation. You'll lead Warehouse Managers, Team Managers and operational teams, ensuring excellent service to customers while creating a positive and engaging working environment for colleagues.

What you'll be doing Leading the Operation- Managing the day-to-day performance of the warehouse across all operational areas and shifts.
- Leading, coaching and developing Warehouse Managers, Team Managers and warehouse colleagues.
- Creating a culture of accountability, engagement and continuous improvement.
- Supporting succession planning and developing future operational leaders.
- Delivering productivity, service and operational KPI targets.
- Using operational data to identify trends, solve problems and improve performance.
- Balancing labour, resource and cost requirements to meet customer demand.
- Leading improvement projects and implementing operational change.
- Promoting a strong health and safety culture across the operation.
- Ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety, Quality, Environmental and Food Safety requirements.
- Supporting audits, investigations and corrective actions.
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, stock control and operational discipline.
- Collaborating closely with Transport, Customer Service, Sales and Depot leadership teams.
- Supporting depot-wide objectives and customer service performance.
- Driving stock accuracy, reducing damage and improving operational efficiency.
You'll need:
- Experience managing large teams within a warehouse, logistics or distribution environment.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Experience delivering operational KPIs and managing performance.
- The ability to motivate, coach and develop teams.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Budget management and commercial awareness.
- Confidence using warehouse systems and operational data to make informed decisions.
It would be beneficial if you have experience within FMCG, food service, grocery distribution or a multi-temperature environment.
FlexibilityThis is a hands-on leadership role. You'll be expected to maintain a visible presence across the operation and work flexibly across day, night and weekend shifts when required.
