Job Description Accounting & Assurance Leadership Opportunity

South Jersey / Greater Philadelphia Area | Full-Time | $150,000-$200,000

212° is conducting a confidential search on behalf of an established professional services organization in the Greater Philadelphia/South Jersey market seeking an experienced accounting and assurance professional to join its leadership team.

This is a senior-level opportunity for an accomplished public accounting professional who combines strong technical expertise with a collaborative, people-first leadership style. The successful candidate will play an important role in overseeing client engagements, developing team members, maintaining high standards of quality, and helping guide the continued evolution of the practice.

This position is well suited for someone who enjoys remaining close to the work while also serving as a coach, mentor, and trusted resource to both colleagues and clients.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and oversee a portfolio of audit and assurance engagements from planning through completion.
  • Review complex work and provide technical guidance to engagement teams.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, developing strong relationships with key stakeholders and leadership teams.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop accounting professionals at varying stages of their careers.
  • Balance hands-on engagement responsibilities with broader team and practice leadership.
  • Help maintain strong standards around quality, compliance, documentation, and client service.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on process improvements, training initiatives, and strategic priorities.
  • Support the continued growth of client relationships and contribute to new business opportunities.
  • Help foster a collaborative environment that encourages accountability, professional development, and adaptability.
What We're Looking For
  • Active CPA license required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline required.
  • Significant progressive experience within public accounting, including substantial audit and assurance experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing complex client engagements.
  • Strong technical accounting and assurance knowledge.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain trusted client relationships.
  • A leadership style centered around coaching, collaboration, and developing others.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and concurrent engagements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort working in an evolving environment and helping teams navigate change.
  • A hands-on, team-oriented approach - someone equally comfortable providing strategic direction and working alongside the team when needed.
The Opportunity
