Senior Manager, Global Accounting

We've an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager to join our Global Accounting team.

The role will focus particularly on delivery of technically accurate accounts and periodic reports for a varied portfolio of clients (including, but not limited to, unit trusts, companies, partnerships and foundations) in accordance with agreed deadlines.

You'll also be responsible for client relationship management, mentoring and coaching of junior team members and supporting global client administration colleagues.

Closing date: 6 November About the role Effectively manage the day to day activities of team members reporting to you, ensuring work is planned and allocated in order to meet client requirements including deadlines

Collaborate with colleagues across all accounting locations, providing explanations, advice and accounting support as and when required

Act as a role model to junior colleagues to assist in building, developing and motivating a high proficient accounting team Review accurate and timely financial statements including complex accounting work Review monthly, quarterly and bi-annual reports

Maintain accurate and up to date accounting records in the client entity databases (including Viewpoint, Quickbooks and Yardi)
Ensure you have and maintain a detailed understanding of the transactions you are dealing with and liaise with your line manager on a regular basis

Build and develop relationships with clients, auditors and third party service providers

Collaborate with colleagues to ensure client expectations and deadlines are properly managed

Collaborate with client administration and other colleagues to resolve accounting queries, providing explanations and accounting support as and when required

About you Candidates must have entitled or registered status for Jersey, Channel Islands UKQualified ACCA/ACA or qualified by relevant experience with good up to date technical knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS, including practical application

Knowledge of US GAAP would be an advantage

Previous experience of accounting systems, particularly Viewpoint and Quickbooks would be an advantage

Excellent working knowledge of Excel High level of attention to detail and accuracyA positive and flexible approach

An aptitude for data analysis/problem solving

Able to manage and prioritise tasks and time in order to meet deadlines

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
