Join Jefferson Health New Jersey’s nocturnist team, providing dedicated overnight inpatient care in our South Jersey acute care hospitals.
Full‑time role involving twelve‑hour shifts per month (7 pm – 7 am), offering a supportive and sustainable work schedule.
10k sign‑on bonus.
Job Description- Overnight Admissions & Inpatient Care:
Evaluate and admit patients from the ED, conduct night rounds, and manage care for previously admitted patients. - Cross‑Coverage Support:
Provide backup to APPs, assist with ICU needs including rapid responses and Code Blue events. - Clinical Supervision (Optional Academic Track):
Supervise residents and support triage and admissions for teaching teams; three nocturnists typically cover each night. - Team
Collaboration:
Coordinate effectively with interdisciplinary teams (nursing, specialists, social work) and ensure comprehensive transitions at shift change. - Documentation & Compliance:
Maintain thorough charting of histories, physicals, daily notes, and plans of care, ensuring compliance and accurate comorbidity coding.
NJ Locations Salary Range: $240,000 – $330,000
