Asset Based Lending, a prominent private lender specializing in commercial real estate, is seeking an experienced Paralegal with 5+ years of expertise in commercial loan closings to provide vital support to our General Counsel. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing and closing commercial real estate loans and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. Your extensive experience in commercial loan closings, title work, corporate entity review, and willingness and ability to learn and implement new information will be instrumental in facilitating smooth and efficient operations for the company.

Responsibilities:

• Commercial Loan Expertise: Utilize your deep knowledge and experience in commercial loan closings to draft, review, assemble, and deliver legal documents related to real estate transactions, including promissory notes, mortgages, deeds of trust, loan agreements, and other critical documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Closing Process: Assist in coordinating commercial mortgage closings, finalizing fees, clearing title and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
• Loan File Management: Maintain and update loan files to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Communication: Collaborate effectively with clients, lenders, title companies, and other stakeholders to facilitate a seamless closing process.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 5+ years of paralegal experience, with a strong background in commercial real estate lending, and a particular emphasis on real estate loan closings.
• Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of loan policy title review, survey, closing documents, and loan closing procedures.
• Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail and impeccable organizational skills to manage and deliver complex legal documentation.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.
• Independence: Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Team Player: Collaborative mindset, supporting a culture of accountability, teamwork, and communication, with an ownership mentality.
• Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
• Technology: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with software commonly used in the mortgage industry, and willing to adapt to new technologies.
