PRN MRI Radiographer - Cherry Hill

Position Overview

Perform a variety of MRI and MRA procedures while ensuring patient safety protocols and assisting Radiologists with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. The MRI Technologist serves as the first line interface with patients, treating all patients professionally and ensuring successful imaging outcomes.

• Perform all necessary checks of diagnosis, prescription, Epic order, and patient identification as demonstrated by documentation.
• Greets patients, confirms their identities, performs the correct procedures, and fully explains the procedure to patient and family.
• Obtain patient history, screen patients for surgeries and implanted items, explain procedures, gain consent for contrast, verify GFR as needed, and address patient concerns.
• Place angiography catheters and inject IV MRI contrast agents as directed by the Radiologist.
• Operate the MRI scanner and all RF coils, MRI workstations, patient monitoring equipment, and MR injectors to produce high‑quality images.
• Archive and verify MRI images to hard‑copy format as needed.
• Perform quality assurance testing consistent with section protocols.
• Monitor the patient’s status, tolerance, and wellbeing throughout the study.
• Aid radiologists, doctors, and other UPHS team members in completing procedures according to applicable protocol.
• Comply with OSHA, TJC, DOH, and other mandated safety procedures or regulations.
• Maintain necessary inventory supplies for assigned workstation and execute rotating stock in an orderly fashion, eliminating outdated items.
• Respond to emergency situations according to department policies.
• Establish and maintain good working relationships and partnerships within the facility and with outside customers of our services.
• Communicate equipment problems and image quality issues.
• Perform duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization.

• Must be ARRT MRI certified or be registered by ARRT, ARDMS, or NMTCB and obtain ARRT MRI certification within 12 months of hire (Required).
• Maintain CEUs (Required).
• CPR (Required).

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Graduated from an approved Radiologic Technology Program.

$7.25 – $120.00 per hour. As part of the job offer, successful candidates are provided a specific rate, taking into consideration various factors including experience and education.
