Orthotics and Prosthetics Technician

An Orthotics and Prosthetics Technician is responsible for designing, fabricating, and maintaining orthotic and prosthetic devices for patients.

$20.00/hr - $40.00/hr

• Design and fabricate orthotic and prosthetic devices based on patient needs and specifications.
• Keep the lab clean, organized, and safe.
• Knowledge and technical skills are needed to fabricate and repair prostheses (artificial limbs) and orthoses. (orthopedic braces) according to patient measurements and casts and comply with practitioners' work orders.
• Mechanical ability and hand-eye coordination to use laboratory tools safely and effectively.
• Effective organizational, time management, and planning skills.
• Good interpersonal and verbal skills for communicating with others.
• Ability to work effectively as a team member.
• Act with integrity in all ways and at all times, remaining honest, transparent, and respectful in all relationships.
• Keep the patient devices at the center of everything you do, building lifelong trust.
• Foster open collaboration and constructive dialogue with everyone around you.

• Maintain and repair devices as needed.

• Experience working with orthotic and prosthetic devices in a lab.
