Responsibilities
  • Assist the practice/department in maintaining a patient/customer focus, support delivery of high-quality care, share a passion for patient and customer-centered care, and assist in meeting or exceeding patient satisfaction and financial/operational targets.
  • Handle arrival and/or departure activities of patients, manage and handle patient calls and inquiries, coordinate patient appointments, update patient insurance/billing information, and perform point of service activities.
  • Manage phone calls, voicemails, take messages, schedule appointments, collect copays, obtain signatures, update EMR, and finalize check-out procedures.
  • Maintain insurance knowledge, validate patient demographics, and participate in cash reconciliation and recovery of missing charges.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory standards (TJC, DOH, FDA, HIPAA, etc.) and adopt new processes.
Education or Equivalent Experience
  • H.S. Diploma/GED
  • 2+ years of medical office experience or 2 years of customer service experience (advanced degrees may be considered).
Salary Range

$16.99 - $26.69/Hourly
