About the JobIn-Home Behavior Assistant for Youth (PT) – Teachers are encouraged to apply. Join our diverse team of caring professionals dedicated to improving the lives of children, individuals, and families.
Job Type: Part‑Time.
Job Location:
Atlantic, Burlington and Camden, NJ (not required to cover all three counties).
- Provides direct service to children, adolescents, and families.
- Identifies and intervenes with the needs of abused and neglected children and adults.
- Works collaboratively with each youth’s assigned therapist.
- Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, education, or a related field.
- Two or more years of experience working with children.
- Must possess a driver’s license and access to reliable transportation (vehicle must be documented by the agency to be insured and registered).
- Must complete CSOC Certification required BA Training:
- Intensive In‑Community (IIC) & Behavioral Assistance (BA) Orientation.
- Working with a Trauma Lens in Crisis Intervention.
- Social and Emotional Learning:
Learning Community Meeting. - Domestic Violence, Child Abuse and the NJ Prevention of DV Act.
- Social and Emotional Learning with Youth and Families in the Children’s System of Care.
- Foundations of Developmental Disabilities.
- Understanding Youth and Adolescent Substance Use Disorders:
Insights for Children's Systems of Care Workers. - Motivational Interviewing.
- The Nurtured Heart Approach.
- Have taken clinical coursework.
- Are bilingual.
- Good computer skills; familiarity with smartphone applications.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work cooperatively as a team member.
- Knowledge and sensitivity to cultural differences.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as assessments and procedure manuals.
- Must consent to and pass a criminal background check.
- Must comply with all HIPAA (confidentiality) laws as it relates to Protected Health Information.
- Must be reliable, punctual, organized, and a self‑starter.
- Must be creative, enthusiastic, and a team player.
