The Residence at Cherry Hill – Cherry Hill, NJ.

Salary: $19.50 – $22.50 hourly.

Full‑time (6 AM–2 PM and 2 PM–10 PM), overnight, part‑time and per diem shifts available. Shifts also include 7 AM–3 PM and 3 PM–11 PM.

SUMMARY

Resident Care Associate shall provide for the needs of the elders, including personal care, therapeutic programming, safety and emotional support in a manner that supports the dignity, independence, choice and individuality of each resident.

Duties include delivery of services as written on the approved service plan for each resident.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Promote the mission and core values of the Residence and LCB Senior Living to residents, visitors, co‑workers and the community.
  • Actively represent and interact positively with potential residents, family members and professionals to grow community occupancy.
  • Complete community and state orientation training before assignment to regular duties.
  • Assist residents with medications per state regulation and LCB policies, make required record entries, and notify RN of self‑administered medication.
  • Engage residents in meaningful interaction and provide restorative interventions; assist independence in ADLs (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, dining, mobility).
  • Monitor changes in resident needs, preferences and health status; report changes promptly to RN or designee.
  • Assist with residents’ clothing, laundry, bedtime, unit neatness and cleanliness.
  • Answer emergency calls and attend to residents’ needs promptly.
  • Participate in scheduled ongoing in‑service training and mandatory education required by state regulation.
  • Assist with escorting residents to meals and engagement as directed.
  • Document scheduled and unscheduled services, incidents, behaviors and unusual events in the community computer tracking system.
  • Conduct and facilitate programming, including therapeutic groups and individual interaction for cognitive stimulation, socialization, physical activity and spiritual connection.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

QUALIFICATION

STANDARDS
  • Knowledge, skills & abilities:
    Ability to use computer for documenting services; fluency in English (oral & written).
  • Education:

    Must have completed a CNA course or equivalent state‑regulated training, and have CPR and First Aide training as required by state.
  • Experience:

    Preferred prior experience providing direct care, especially in caring for seniors with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia.
  • Certificates/Licenses:
    Current license/certification required by state. Provide copies to the Resident Care Director or designee.
  • Computer

    Skills:

    Demonstrated computer literacy and familiarity with office software (word processing, data input).
