Location: Cherry Hill Township

An Orthotics and Prosthetics Technician is responsible for designing, fabricating, and maintaining orthotic and prosthetic devices for patients. The O&P Technician provides clinical and technical support for all incoming O&P services and needs. This person is responsible for the technical development and knowledge of fabricating orthotic and prosthetic quality devices. Responsible for fabricating with in-depth knowledge, expertise, and ability to provide quality fabrication of devices offered.

Must work with the practitioner team to coordinate and execute on-time deliveries.

Responsibilities

Design and fabricate orthotic and prosthetic devices based on patient needs and specifications.

Keep the lab clean, organized, and safe.

Knowledge and technical skills are needed to fabricate and repair prostheses (artificial limbs) and orthoses. (orthopedic braces) according to patient measurements and casts and comply with practitioners' work orders.

  • Mechanical ability and hand-eye coordination to use laboratory tools safely and effectively.
  • Effective organizational, time management, and planning skills.
  • Good interpersonal and verbal skills for communicating with others.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member.
  • Act with integrity in all ways and at all times, remaining honest, transparent, and respectful in all relationships.
  • Keep the patient devices at the center of everything you do, building lifelong trust.
  • Foster open collaboration and constructive dialogue with everyone around you.
  • Continuously innovate new solutions, influencing and responding to change.
  • Focus on superior outcomes and calibrate work processes for outstanding results.
  • Maintain and repair devices as needed.

Stay up-to-date with new technologies and techniques in the field.

Deliver on time all work order requests.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with orthotic and prosthetic devices in a lab.
