Position: Field Service Technician II US
Location: Cherry Hill Township

Field Service Technician II

Pay rate: $22.50 per hour

Schedule: Monday to Friday 9am-6pm Flexible

Location: 08003 Virtual (Must live within 45 miles)

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting: Resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues for desktops, laptops, and servers.
  • On-Site Support: Provide direct technical assistance to staff and serve as the primary point of contact for technical failures.
  • Installation: Install and configure new hardware (HW) and software (SW) systems across various locations.
  • Maintenance: Perform quarterly preventative maintenance checks, including some required after‑hours tasks.
  • Cabling: Terminate, test, and replace network cables (Cat5, Cat6, and Cat7).
  • Cable Management: Organize and manage cable layouts in racks and workstations for optimal performance and safety.
  • Staff Training: Educate staff members on new systems, software updates, and hardware usage.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of support requests, site configurations, and equipment logs.
  • Asset Management: Track hardware inventory, software licenses, and supply levels.
  • Project Support: Assist with large‑scale rollouts, system upgrades, and infrastructure improvements.
  • Infrastructure & Security: Maintain secure network environments and support online ordering and delivery platforms.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of computer hardware, software, networking, and cable installation.
  • Hardware Expertise: Hands‑on "break‑fix" experience with laptops, desktops, printers, and servers.
  • Networking

    Skills:

    "Smart hands" experience with rack‑and‑stack procedures and cable management.
  • Certifications: CompTIA A+ and Network+ preferred (or 5+ years of equivalent professional experience).
  • Contractor

    Skills:

    Proficiency with basic power tools (e.g., drills) for mounting hardware into walls and countertops.
  • Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and utilize a ladder with a reach of up to 10 feet.
  • Communication: Excellent customer service skills with a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Problem Solving: Strong organizational skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues under pressure.
  • Logistics: Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license for site visits.
  • Compliance: Ability to complete client-specific training and pass a certification exam.
