Salary: Starting at $110,000+, commensurate with experience

Experience Level: 5+ Years

Malamut Law is seeking an experienced Respondent Workers’ Compensation Attorney to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience representing employers, insurance carriers, and third‑party administrators in workers’ compensation matters across New Jersey. This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative, respected team with a strong caseload and administrative support.

• Handle all aspects of workers’ compensation defense cases from inception to resolution.
• Appear at workers’ compensation court hearings throughout New Jersey.
• Conduct depositions, legal research, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Provide strategic counsel to clients, including risk assessment and case valuation.
• Maintain accurate case records and meet all filing deadlines.
• Communicate regularly with clients, adjusters, and opposing counsel.

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active and in good standing with the New Jersey Bar.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience handling respondent‑side workers’ compensation matters in NJ.
• Strong litigation and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage a high‑volume caseload independently.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
