Job Overview

Surrey and Borders NHS Foundation Trust offers a high‑quality perinatal mental health service dedicated to improving access to specialist care for new and expectant mothers. We are expanding our team and seeking an experienced administrative professional to support the Perinatal Mental Health Team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the multidisciplinary team, ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations.
  • Handle telephone enquiries and provide effective communication with patients, colleagues and external services.
  • Prepare and record confidential minutes of meetings and sessions.
  • Manage electronic records and maintain accurate documentation using the team’s IT systems.
  • Coordinate appointments, travel and travel arrangements for team members across Surrey.
  • Assist with the preparation of team meeting agendas, reports and declarations.
  • Support the team in maintaining high standards of patient confidentiality and data protection.
Requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong telephone etiquette and the ability to act as a single point of contact for staff and patients.
  • IT literate with experience using electronic health record systems.
  • Ability to take confidential minutes accurately and efficiently.
  • Proven multi‑tasking, prioritisation and organisational skills.
  • Willingness to travel across Surrey as required.
Location

North West Team, Unither House, Chertsey (West). The team is multi‑disciplinary, comprising mental health professionals, nursery nurses and peer support workers.
