A specialist engineering business operating within the defence sector is seeking an experienced Senior Product Safety Engineer to take a leading role in Product and System Safety Assurance across complex projects.

The Role
Lead Safety Analysis, Risk Assessments and Safety Case development.
Conduct Hazard Identification and analysis, maintaining relevant Hazard Logs.
Develop and work to Safety Management Systems and Plans.
Produce technical reports, presentations and safety documentation.
Support bids, proposals and internal/external Safety Working Groups. About You
Proven Product/System Safety Engineering experience, ideally within Defence.

Experience with Safety Cases, Hazard Analysis and risk assessment methodologies.
Knowledge of DEF STAN 00-056, DSA
02-DMR and IEC 61508.
Engineering, Mathematics or Science degree (or equivalent experience).
SC Clearance or ability to attain, with UK nationality and a full driving licence. Desirable
Previous maritime or submarine experience.
Chartered Engineer status or working towards professional registration.
Experience managing, mentoring or developing engineering personnel.
Knowledge of CE/UKCA compliance.
Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
