Finance Assistant Manager

We are seeking a Finance Assistant Manager to provide full responsibility in supporting finance activities across several European subsidiaries. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, compliance, and support for audits, while also assisting the Finance Manager with ad hoc requirements.

Purpose of the job

• Perform accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings, including preparation of Profit & Loss accounts and Balance Sheet reports.
• Support internal and external audits, including ICFR (K-Sox) and statutory/group audits.
• Manage fixed assets, leases, and related financial reporting.
• Handle open item management, account reconciliations, and risk management reporting.
• Monitor and review financial transactions across subsidiaries, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
• Conduct cost analysis and report on profitability variances.
• Ensure compliance with corporation tax, VAT, and other tax requirements within prescribed timelines.
• Provide guidance, training, and support to subsidiaries on financial issues.
• Liaise with approximately 50 communication partners across 4 European subsidiaries.
• Assist the Finance Manager with ad hoc tasks as required.

Profile

Candidate Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field.
• 5+ years’ experience in Accounting & Finance or part-qualified ACCA.
• Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong knowledge of accounting and finance principles.
• Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• High numeracy and financial awareness.
