Overview

Porter at Runnymede Hospital (Chertsey). Full‑time 37.5 hours per week, permanent position. Salary up to £24,953.23 per year, depending on experience, training and qualification.

• Undertake general and ad‑hoc tasks to meet site requirements such as patient, equipment and goods movement.
• Explain hospital facilities and services to patients and family members when escorting people to rooms or other areas.
• Provide courteous service to internal and external customers.
• Ensure patient comfort and dignity are always maintained.
• Provide security for the facility as required, ensuring compliance with security processes and coverage of external patrols as appropriate.
• Comply with all relevant mandatory training.

• Front‑line customer‑facing experience.
• Previous portering experience in healthcare, hotel or hospitality setting preferred.
• Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
• Proficiency in PC use, including software and systems.
