Demand Planner

Demand Planner Dewsbury, West Yorkshire | Hybrid Working Elevation Recruitment Group is working with a well-established manufacturing and e-commerce business to find a Demand Planner to join their growing Ecommerce function. This is a great opportunity for an analytical planning professional to take ownership of demand forecasting and inventory optimisation for a fast-moving, highly seasonal product range. Working closely with Commercial, Channel Management, Production Planning and Warehouse teams, you'll lead the demand planning process end to end — from forecast creation through to converting demand into supply requirements — while playing a key role in the monthly S&OP cycle.

Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain weekly and monthly demand forecasts, analysing sales history, promotions, market trends and customer forecasts Monitor and improve forecast accuracy and bias, flagging demand risks and opportunities Translate demand forecasts into purchasing requirements, managing safety stock, lead times and reorder points Support new product launches, seasonal transitions and promotional events Monitor stock health, inventory turns and stock cover, reducing excess and obsolete inventory Support the weekly and monthly S&OP cycle, presenting planning assumptions, risks and recommendations Partner with Channel Managers on retailer demand plans, using EPOS and sell-through data where available Produce KPI reporting covering forecast accuracy, OTIF, inventory turns, stock cover and fill rate What You'll Need Essential:
Experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning or Inventory Planning Background within FMCG, retail or consumer goods Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Experience using D365 or a similar ERP system Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills This role suits someone who's commercially aware, comfortable with detail, and confident managing demand that shifts with retail promotions, weather and customer buying patterns.
