Staff Accountant - Full Time Position
Location: Norfolk, VA
Base Pay Range: $65,000 - $75,000 per year
Key Responsibilities- Record and categorize bank and credit card transactions, vendor invoices, tenant payments, owner distributions, and intercompany transfers
- Maintain accurate due-to/due-from balances across all entities
- Prepare weekly vendor payments and check runs
- Produce monthly financial packages for each entity, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and GL detail
- Perform month-end reconciliations of all general ledger accounts
- Create and post recurring journal entries and other adjustments as needed
- 2+ years of bookkeeping or staff accounting experience; multi-entity background highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and ability to work independently
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to identify and elevate issues proactively
- Quick Books Online (required)
- Quick Books Desktop (experience with QBD-to-QBO conversions is a plus)
- Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Adobe Acrobat
