Base pay range: $16.00/hr - $18.00/hr

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our law firm as a Personal Injury Legal Assistant. This position will provide support to our personal injury paralegals and assist with the day-to-day operations of our legal practice.

Responsibilities
  • Process and input new client matters and documentation into the Firm's case management system
  • Assist paralegal in preparing routine engagement letters and their distribution
  • Assist paralegal in obtaining medical records/bills related to client treatment
  • Assist paralegal in verifying, confirming, and documenting account balances with medical personnel
  • Prepare and maintain both hard-copy and electronic files, ensuring their accuracy and completeness
  • Perform clerical and administrative tasks such as word processing, filing, copying, and scanning to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of paralegal files
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1-2 years clerical/administrative experience
  • Prior experience supporting paralegals or attorneys preferred
  • Ability to respond quickly and efficiently to requests
  • Polished and professional;
    Positive, client-oriented attitude
  • Able to manage and balance multiple tasks and priorities
  • Dependability and consistently at work on time
  • Candidate must have at least a high school diploma (or equivalent)
