Location: Indian Creek Correctional Center

Job Duties

Provides administrative and programmatic support to the department in support of the unit and agency mission. Updates and maintains records, files, and automated databases. Prepares copies of relevant documentation, maintains files, emails, documentation, and answers telephone calls.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to research and analyze data to reach logical conclusions and prepare routine reports.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
  • Experience inputting data into an automated database.
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with customers, employees, and other stakeholders.
  • Recent experience providing customer service and administrative support, including word processing, filing, and related duties in a professional office setting.
  • Ability to set up and maintain automated and manual filing systems.
Additional Considerations
  • Knowledge of State Procurement and Electronic Virginia (eVa).
  • Skill in Outlook, Access, and Publisher.
  • Recent experience using office equipment (computers, printers, copiers, fax).

Background Investigation Requirements:
