Excellent opportunity for an Estimator looking to join a fantastic company, working on technically interesting projects where you will have a clear path of progression towards Senior Estimator or Project Management.

An established fabrication business in the HVAC and construction sector is expanding its pre-construction team and is looking for a Junior Estimator to take on a key position. They support major commercial builds across education, healthcare, hospitality, residential developments and public venues, and they've built a reputation for reliability and quality over several decades.

The opening comes from a retirement, and it's created a genuine succession opportunity for someone who wants long term career growth.

• Managing estimates across a mix of small works and large multi-million dollar projects, including:
• Reviewing blueprints, drawings, and technical documents
• Interpreting plans, specs and project requirements
• Preparing accurate cost estimates for labor, materials and fabrication
• Working with suppliers to secure competitive pricing
• Producing clear proposals and bid packages
• Identifying cost efficiencies and value engineering options
• Partnering with project managers to ensure alignment
• Keeping accurate, organized documentation and records

• Experience as an Estimator in construction, HVAC, sheet metal or ductwork
• Confident in reading blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong analytical and problem solving capability
• Good communication skills
• Familiarity with estimating software
• Fully office based in Chesapeake, VA

• Salary: $65,000 - $85,000
