Responsibilities:- Oversee daily field operations to ensure project milestones and overall schedule deadlines are achieved.
- Develop short-term, look‑ahead schedules to communicate upcoming tasks, monitor progress, and proactively address potential issues.
- Foster and maintain a strong culture of safety, health, and cleanliness on the job site.
- Coordinate and manage construction activities to ensure work is executed in a deliberate, organized manner consistent with contract requirements and industry best practices.
- Establish and maintain project dimensional controls, including coordination with third‑party survey and layout teams as needed.
- Verify that all work meets quality standards and is installed correctly (e.g., plumb, level, straight).
- Anticipate challenges by planning at least two weeks ahead and implementing solutions before issues arise.
- Secure required inspections and ensure all quality‑related documentation is complete and accurate.
- Ensure full compliance with contract requirements and all applicable laws, regulations, and community standards.
- Administer client‑specific programs such as CQC, Safety, and Environmental Stewardship.
- Lead or participate in pre‑construction meetings, progress meetings, and other project‑ or staff‑related discussions.
- Engage in regular meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders, including owners and subcontractors.
- Meet regularly with client representatives to provide project updates, address concerns proactively, and maintain transparency regarding project status.
- Manage self‑performed work to ensure activities remain within the approved project budget.
- Oversee scope changes and ensure the most current contract documents are used to prevent rework.
- Administer contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and related agreements to ensure compliance with scope, terms, and conditions.
- Manage project punch list activities and oversee project closeout to ensure timely completion.
- Maintain daily project documentation, including timecards, field reports, schedule updates, and email correspondence.
- Collaborate effectively with support departments such as accounting, HR, and ICSS.
- Direct and manage support staff workloads, including training, mentoring, and follow‑up.
- Encourage and participate in ongoing learning and professional development opportunities.
- Associate’s degree in Construction Management or similar major.
- Minimum 4 years of Construction Management experience.
- Minimum 3 years of Government Contracting experience.
- Civil Construction experience.
- Current QCM.
- US citizenship required.
