Locums Opportunity - OB Hospitalist
Location:
Chesapeake, Virginia
- Hospitalists: 24-hour shifts
- Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs): 12-hour AM shifts
- Backup Coverage:
- Hospitalists backup midwives
- CNMs backed up by in-house hospitalists
- Private physicians backup hospitalists
- In-house Anesthesia:
Yes
- Provide GYN coverage:
Yes - Perform circumcisions:
Yes - First Assist:
Not required (contracted surgical assists available) - Backup midwives:
Yes - Backup family practice:
No - Deliveries (estimated monthly): 28 per hospitalist
- Total hospital deliveries/month: 214
- High-risk deliveries: 37.2%
- OBED visits/day: 5.6
- Surgeries/day: 0.1
- Inpatient visits/day: 1.4

Available by phone
- Triaging and deliveries shared with physicians
