Job
The Opportunity:
Join our team to develop language training courses, including eLearning tools, interactive lectures, discussions, exercises, readings, case studies, role plays, and demonstrations. Your role will involve creating materials that mirror language analyst tasks, updating existing content, and collaborating with instructors and developers. You will also develop practical evaluations to assess student mastery.
Responsibilities:
- Clarify and document customer requirements, training objectives, and language proficiency levels.
- Prioritize requirements for training development.
- Develop training materials, including transcription, translation, and analysis of operational exercises.
- Collaborate with SIGINT Operations experts, instructors, and developers to obtain and develop language materials.
- Create practical evaluations to test student mastery.
- Identify and recommend learning tools and applications to enhance training delivery.
- Provide technical guidance for designing, developing, and delivering technology-mediated learning activities.
- Analyze feedback and metrics to assess training success.
- Review and improve existing training materials, ensuring they meet ISD principles and standards.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Master's Degree in Language, Area Studies, Education, Education Technology, ISD, or related field.
- Native-level proficiency in Russian (ILR level 4 in reading, listening, speaking) and English (ILR level
2), or native English with ILR level 3 in Russian. - Minimum 8 years of SIGINT or Intelligence Community experience as a language analyst or instructor.
- Within last 10 years, at least 3 years developing or updating language training materials following ISD principles.
- Alternatively, a B.A./B.S. with 10 years of relevant experience, including 5 in language education or analysis.
- Or, 14 years of experience with 9 in relevant fields if no degree.
Desired:
- Experience with digital audio tools like Audacity or Sound Forge.
