Base Pay: $27.00 per hour to $30.00 per hour (approx $56k to $62k annually). Profit sharing available.
About the RoleWe are seeking a Geostructural Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design and review of geotechnical and structural components for construction and repair projects. This role involves engineering analysis, technical reporting, and collaboration with senior engineers, CAD technicians, and clients. Projects include residential, commercial, and industrial properties, excavation support systems, foundation systems, and ground improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Perform engineering analysis, calculations, and assist with CAD drawings for geotechnical design work (foundations, piers, beams, posts, etc.).
- Review data, drawings, and calculations; prepare technical letters and reports.
- Observe field explorations and construction activities occasionally.
- Collaborate with senior engineers, CAD staff, and clients to ensure project success.
- Adhere to safety policies and complete projects within schedule and budget.
- B.S. in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical or Structural focus); EIT preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in geotechnical or structural engineering.
- Proficiency in CAD, Excel, Bluebeam, and Word.
- Strong communication skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license; ability to travel and perform field work in varying conditions.
- Ability to sit for long periods, stand, walk, and manipulate light to medium weights (25-50 lbs).
- Walk construction job sites.
- Good hand-eye coordination, eye sight, and dexterity for using keyboard, operating equipment, reading information, and analyzing data.
- Occasional travel to offsite locations for work and meetings.
- May need to be on project sites for extended periods.
- Valid license to operate a motor vehicle.
