Our customer, the Best Choice in the utility construction business, is currently hiring entry‑level and experienced onsite Designers in Chesapeake and Hampton, VA
. This office‑based position involves drafting designs for utility and telecommunications construction projects as part of a six‑month contract with potential extension or full‑time employment.

• Ability to synthesize information and create designs
• Complete markups
• Prepare report graphics
• Set‑up and prepare plans
• Assist with submittals
• Maintain QA/QC processes and requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree preferred.
• AutoCAD knowledge is a must.
• Experience with telecommunications or utility design is a plus.

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Proficiency using a computer and common professional programs (e.g., Office 365).
• One year of recent professional work experience using AutoCAD or recent graduation from an AutoCAD‑focused educational program.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

• Pay rate: $27/hr + DOE
