Immediate need for a talented Senior Structural Engineer. This is a 12 months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is onsite in Chesapeake, VA.

-94632 - Pay Range: $90-$93/hour. Employee benefits include health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
- Lead structural design from the conceptual phase through design completion for projects with a focus on marine structures, including piers, wharfs, bulkheads, fender systems and other related structures.
- Participate in the development of project fees, schedules, scopes, budgets, staff planning and construction planning. Responsible for the effective management of change orders.
- Apply expert knowledge of commonly used structural concepts, practices, codes and procedures.
- Apply knowledge and experience to complex projects and find non-standard design solutions.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License Required
- Waterfront experience
- Minimum of 4 years structural engineering experience (or a master's degree in Structural Engineering and 6 years)
- Strong knowledge of structural design codes (e.g., IBC, AISC, ACI, ASCE-7) and standard engineering techniques and procedures
- Strong computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)
