TempTravel Medical Lab Technician or Technologist

Lighthouse Labs seeks a skilled Temporary Travel Medical Technician or Technologist to join our healthcare partner in Chesapeake, VA for a 13-14 week temporary position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting laboratory tests and analyses, interpreting results, and ensuring accuracy in diagnostic testing.

The client is a privately owned, independent family practice serving the Portsmouth, Western Branch Chesapeake, and North Suffolk communities in Hampton Roads, Virginia. They offer a close knit, professional environment focused on comprehensive care for patients of all ages. • Perform moderate complexity medical laboratory tests for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accurate results.
• Record and report test results following laboratory protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely information.
• Proficiency in ELISA and RNA extraction techniques.
• Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
• Competence in venipuncture and specimen collection processing is a plus.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and laboratory procedures.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential for this role.
• Other duties as required.

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field.
• ASAP Certification as a Medical Technician or Technologist is highly preferred.
• Prior experience with Sysmex XN-430 and Siemens Dimension EXL 200.

• 1st shift M-F 5 8:30-5:00pm M-F
• Max gross pay is $2120/weekly (depending on education/experience)
