Electrophysiology (EP) Technologist
Location: Chesapeake, VA Shift: Monday–Friday, 8–10‑hour shifts between 7:00 AM–7:00 PM Assignment Length: 13 Weeks (Possible Extension) Start Date: January 26, 2026 Call Requirement: None
About the RoleThis EP Technologist position supports a high‑acuity electrophysiology program within the Coastal Virginia region. The role requires strong clinical expertise, advanced EP procedural experience, and the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced cardiac environment. Chesapeake offers a scenic, outdoor‑friendly lifestyle just minutes from Virginia Beach and Norfolk.

Key Responsibilities- Assist with invasive electrophysiology procedures, including:
- 3D mapping
- EP recording systems
- Advanced ablations including A‑Fib
- ICE procedures
- Cardiac rhythm management interrogation & programming (multi‑vendor devices)
- Operate EP‑specific equipment including GE Cardio Lab and St. Jude Work Mate.
- Support CRM programming and EP procedural workflows.
- Maintain accurate documentation within EPIC (required).
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical teams to ensure safe, efficient case flow.
- ACLS certification
- NASPE/RCES or RCIS, or registry‑eligible
- EPIC experience (no exceptions)
- Associate degree or higher
- Completion of an accredited cardiovascular technology program
- Minimum 2 years of EP Lab experience
- Experience with 3D mapping, EP recording systems, advanced ablation, ICE, and CRM programming
- State licensure as required
- Experience with GE Cardio Lab and/or St. Jude Work Mate
- CRM programming experience
- Additional EP procedural experience
- 5x8 Day Shift (07:00–19:00)
- 4x10 Day Shift (07:00–19:00)
- No weekends unless needed
- No call required
- Chesapeake requires clean licenses and backgrounds only.
- The region is known for its outdoor recreation, waterways, and proximity to Virginia Beach and Norfolk.
