Travel Cardiac Cath Lab Tech

Facility: Chesapeake Regional Healthcare
Location: Chesapeake, Virginia

• Schedule: 5x8-hour or 4x10-hour day shifts
• Shift Window: Between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Contract Length: 91 weeks
• Overtime: Likely, depending on procedural volume
• Call: Approximately 12 call days per month, including some weekends
• Holidays: Holiday call coverage required; holiday time off will not be approved.
• RTO: Must be submitted with the profile and is reviewed case by case.

• Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiac Cath Lab experience
• Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology program
• Current BLS and ACLS
• Must hold one of the following current credentials:
  • RCIS – Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist
  • RCVT – Registered Cardiovascular Technologist
  • RCES – Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist
• ARRT candidates will not be considered.
• Virginia or Compact license must be active and in hand at submission, with no exceptions.

The facility performs minimally invasive cardiac procedures and has a full-service Electrophysiology (EP) program.

The candidate may be assigned to support:

• Cardiac Catheterization Lab
• Electrophysiology (EP)
• Cath Holding

Candidates should be flexible to support other cardiovascular departments as needed.

• Call rotates among the Cath Lab team, averaging approximately 12 call days per month.
• Weekend call is included.
• Holiday call coverage is required.
• Most shifts are approximately 8 hours, but shifts may run longer depending on procedure volume.
• Overtime should be expected.

• Radius rule: Allied candidates may be considered if their permanent address is within 50 miles of the facility. Current address must be included in the submission.
• License/background: Any prior license or background hits will disqualify the candidate.
• Fit testing: Candidates with a history of fit-test issues are not accepted. The facility cannot accommodate a PAPR.
• Flu vaccine: Required; medical/religious exemptions and declinations are allowed.
• COVID vaccine: Not required.
• Modules: 3 hours, completed before the start date and billable.

• Completed Qualivis cover sheet
• Current NURSYS report
• Current VA or Compact license
• BLS and ACLS
• Current RCIS, RCVT, or RCES credential
• Updated resume showing recent Cath Lab experience
• Permanent address
• All requested time off listed on the Qualivis cover sheet

Best fit: An experienced Cath Lab Tech with recent invasive cardiac procedure experience, an accepted cardiovascular credential, and flexibility for frequent call and extended shifts.
