Description:
2 years of experience in a hospital setting is required. The unit has 44 beds with a patient ratio of 4:1. There are 10 OT/PT teams, 3 speech therapists, and 1 technician on staff. The type of equipment used includes Sara Lifts, Ceiling Lifts, Bioness, and Diego. Documentation is done using Meditech Expanse. Scheduling is required from Monday to Friday, with shifts between 7 AM and 5 PM, and weekends will rotate.
Staff may float to acute care if the rehab census is low. Patient experience requirements include the use of AIDET communication and immediate service recovery. The unit performs manual therapy for neuro re-education, therapeutic exercise, functional activity, neuromuscular re-education, self-care, and functional e-stimulation. The dress code includes black scrub bottoms and royal blue tops. Unit-specific policies and guidelines should be reviewed by candidates.
