Pharmacy​/Pharmacist Inpatient

Pharmacist Inpatient Setting

Schedule:

Shift: 5x8's Rotating schedule, weekdays, some weekends (every 3rd weekend). If working overnights, 7 nights on, 7 nights off.

Shifts times:
Day shifts: 0630 - 1500, 0730 - 1600, , 1000 - 1830;
Evening shifts: , 1430 - 2300;
Overnight shifts: 1930 - 0730, 2030 - 0730

Longer assignments through January 9, 2027, are available but not required!! Travelers must work two of the three winter holidays.

• Active Virginia Pharmacist license in hand at the time of submission (firm requirement)
• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required
• PharmD and Registered Pharmacist (RPh) credentials required
• Minimum of 1 year of recent inpatient pharmacy experience
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Epic proficiency is required (no exceptions)

• IV admixture/IV pharmacy experience
• Patient-controlled analgesia (PCA)
• Antibiotic management
• Drug interaction review
• Medication order entry
• Medication order verification

• Chemotherapy experience
• Anticoagulation management
• Pharmacokinetic dosing
• Renal dosing
