We’re looking for an experienced Business Requirements Analyst to join our team in Chesapeake, VA.

This position develops and documents business systems requirements and business rules by interfacing with product owners and subject matter experts. Works with development staff to ensure requirements are linked to the appropriate application and, when applicable, application module. Conducts analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system/technical requirements specifications. Assigns and maintains product owner priorities.

Reviews acceptance test criteria to validate tests sufficiently demonstrate the specified requirements. Reviews and maintains requirements to ensure continued applicability and relevance. Supports testing activities throughout the development cycle. Additionally, this role provides project management support by coordinating scope, timelines, and deliverables across cross‑functional teams, ensuring initiatives are executed in alignment with customer priorities. Applies project management best practices, including planning, tracking, and stakeholder communication, throughout the project lifecycle.

• Coordinate project timelines, dependencies, and deliverables across cross‑functional teams throughout design, development, testing, and delivery to ensure high quality software outcomes.
• Monitor and track project progress; communicate status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and proactively recommend mitigation strategies.
• Plan and facilitate project meetings, including status reviews, milestone checkpoints, and cross‑team coordination sessions.
• Organize and coordinate cross‑functional teams to analyze and solve multiplatform business needs.
• Acts as primary liaison between product owner, stakeholders, design, and development teams.
• Lead the elicitation, documentation and management of business system requirements and business rules.
• Manage the business requirements intake and prioritization across business units and stakeholders.
• Manage stakeholder relations in the realm of requirements.
• Conduct fact‑finding interviews and apply appropriate tools and techniques to assess business needs; synthesize findings to support solution development. Lead customer and user stakeholders to define use cases in sufficient detail to support testing and quality assurance validation.
• Guide the users to coordinate quality assurance and acceptance testing efforts to verify functional system behavior and alignment with requirements.
• Partner with technical design teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Provide results analysis and reporting in Jira and Xray.
• Collaborate with the Engineering and Development teams to investigate, identify, and resolve issues.
• Develop strategies for process improvement in testing and be willing to explore new testing methodologies.
• Gain a deep understanding of Emprise’s primary software product.
• Provide occasional manual testing support with test case writing and/or execution.
• Participate in Agile events as a key member of the software delivery team.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical/business area plus 4 years of business system analyst experience in analytics or IT.
• Master’s degree is highly preferred.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD Security Clearance.
• Advanced knowledge of systems analysis with emphasis on customer requirements elicitation and documentation.
• Experience supporting business intelligence, reporting, or analytics initiatives through requirements gathering, coordination, or project delivery.
• Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to manage teams, timelines, resources, and competing priorities.

• Strong testing and quality assurance experience, including requirements‑based test design, UAT coordination, defect triage, and validation of acceptance criteria.
• Experience working closely with QA teams in test planning, execution, and results analysis to ensure alignment with business requirements and provide recommended actions/resolutions.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to lead cross‑functional discussions and drive consensus.
• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and project management methodologies (e.g. Agile) required.
• Familiarity with analytics and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) and an understanding of data querying concepts; experience with SQL programming is helpful, though hands‑on programming experience is not required.
