Summary

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer II to support a 6‑month onsite engagement with our Endurance client
. This role is critical to maintaining a secure, high‑performance, and scalable enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise across Layer 2 through Layer 7 networking, with proven experience in routing protocols, firewall management, wireless systems, and Network Access Control (NAC). You will play a key role in designing resilient network solutions, ensuring seamless connectivity, enforcing security policies, and supporting network optimization.

This position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with cross‑functional teams, mentor junior staff, and contribute to strategic network initiatives in a dynamic environment.

• Design and implement advanced Layer 2 and Layer 3 configurations to ensure high availability, redundancy, and optimal performance across enterprise networks.
• Configure and manage dynamic routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP) and redundant gateway solutions (HSRP, VRRP, GLBP) to maintain resilient and fault‑tolerant operations.
• Deploy and maintain firewall policies, NAT rules, and access control lists (ACLs) to enforce security standards and protect network traffic.
• Manage and optimize wireless infrastructure by tuning Wireless LAN Controller (WLC) settings, applying RF design best practices, and resolving coverage, roaming, and throughput issues.
• Implement and administer Network Access Control (NAC) solutions, including device profiling, posture assessment, and role‑based access policies to strengthen endpoint security.
• Support network segmentation using VRFs and contribute to foundational BGP and MPLS configurations for multi‑tenant and scalable environments.
• Monitor network performance, analyze logs, and proactively identify and resolve issues to reduce downtime and improve user experience.
• Participate in change control processes, maintain accurate network documentation, and contribute to design reviews and technical discussions.
• Mentor junior engineers by providing technical guidance, facilitating knowledge transfer, and supporting team development.
