We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience. The ideal candidate will be adept at reading blueprints and working with various machinery components, including motors, pumps, gears, and conveyors. You will perform both preventative and corrective maintenance independently in a dynamic industrial setting.

• Conduct mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
• Read and interpret blueprints to execute maintenance tasks.
• Work with motors, pumps, gears, gearboxes, and production machinery.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance independently.

• Strong mechanical troubleshooting experience.
• Electrical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints.
• Experience with motors, pumps, gears, gearboxes, and conveyors.
• Ability to perform preventative and corrective maintenance independently.

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role involving stick welding, light fabrication, and burning.
• Proficient in Stick Welding on Steel; TIG welding experience is a plus.
• Welding certifications are highly preferred.
• Proficient at reading prints and using basic math to calculate and check angles and dimensions.
• Longevity in previous positions is a must.
• Self‑motivated with strong problem‑solving skills and a “can do, will do” attitude.

You will work in a non‑climate‑controlled industrial facility where the primary product is made from cement, resulting in a dusty and dirty environment. This is a first‑shift position starting at 6am or 7am and ending at 3:30pm, Monday through Friday. Weekends and overtime may be required in emergencies. All PPE is provided except for steel‑toe boots, which are required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chesapeake, Virginia.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Chesapeake, VA.
