Travel ICU Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Travel ICU Registered Nurse to join the Intensive Care Unit at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center in the Hampton Roads region of Virginia. This fast-paced ICU handles high-acuity medical, surgical, and cardiac patients, and requires a nurse experienced in managing complex, critical-care situations.

If you are a strong ICU RN with experience in ventilator management, vasoactive drips, and rapid clinical decision-making, this assignment is an excellent fit.

• Provide bedside care to critically ill patients
• Manage ventilators, airway equipment, and complex drips
• Perform frequent assessments, hemodynamic monitoring, and documentation
• Respond to rapid response and code situations
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, and multidisciplinary teams
• Administer medications and manage central lines, A-lines, and chest tubes
• Follow ICU best practices, sepsis protocols, and unit policies

• Active RN License (Virginia or Compact License)
• 2+ years recent ICU experience (required)
• BLS & ACLS required
• NIHSS preferred
• Experience with:
  • Ventilator management
  • Drip titration (pressors, sedation, insulin, etc.)
  • Cardiac monitoring
  • High-acuity ICU patient care
• Travel experience preferred but not required
