Job Opportunity – Pediatric Peri Anesthesia Nurse – Virginia

Start Date: November 9, 2026

Location: Charlottesville, Virginia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 13-week assignment. Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation. Up to 40 hours of time off may be approved during the contract period.

Highlights:

• Provide specialized care in a 10-bed Pediatric Peri Anesthesia Unit with an additional 4-bed Pediatric Surgical Observation Unit (PSOU)
• Work with pediatric patients requiring preoperative, postoperative, and extended recovery care (up to 23 hours post-surgery)
• Epic charting system experience required
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including IV therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• 24 hours of orientation provided; BSN preferred

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
• Active Virginia RN license or ability to obtain (pending licenses accepted; must be in hand by Wednesday before start date)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Flu vaccination required (no exemptions); COVID-19 vaccination not required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
