Position Summary for Denny's General Manager

The General Manager will lead their staff in exceeding guest expectations, manage the day- to- day operations of the restaurant, provide support, set goals for team members; and ensure all Brand standards are followed.

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Manage all restaurant functions
• Verify appropriate food safety, food handling and food storage procedures are followed.
• Maintains high quality standards for food preparation and services
• Ensures restaurant cleanliness and organization present a positive image.
• Oversees purchasing for food, equipment and other necessary supplies.

• Conduct strainer observations and monitors employee performance.

• Performs internal audits of quality files to ensure policy and procedure compliance
• Follows and enforces company policies and procedures &Dennis Brand Standards
• Provide meaningful development plans establishing goals for each shift.
• Translate organizational goals into challenging individual performance goals and success measures.
• Establishes and maintains appropriate security protocols for guest, employees and facility safety.
• Ensures guest satisfaction
• Conducts"walk-throughs" as required by the Brand Standards throughout their shiftto determine compliance with sanitation, food safety, and service standards.
• Measures temperatures of all equipment and records them in a log throughout their shift as required by the Brand Standards.
• Assigns duties to the staff to correct any deficiencies recorded during thewalk-through or the temperature check. Takes and coordinates appropriate actions.
• Provides regular training and quality performance results to managers and employees.
• Employee performance management, including feedback, mentoring, coaching and discipline as warranted.
• Timely completion of all financial obligations and reporting, including payroll,payables and receivables, etc.
• Must be available to work rotating shifts as Denny's operate 24 hours 7 days a week

• Mustmeet any state, county, or municipal regulations pertaining to health risk concerns about food handling.

• Performing otherwork-related duties as assigned
• Completes required Denny's training programs and continuing training within the time frames designated for your position

• Must possess a minimum of 5 - 8 years in the restaurant industry as a restaurant manager.
• Strong knowledge of family restaurant management with a mindset of sales/profits.
• Abilityto work flexible hours, including holidays, nights and weekends.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent organization and leadership skills.
• Ability to take action, prioritize tasks and work independently with minimum supervision.
• Strong analytical, independent thinking, and problem resolution skills
• Ability to understand and respond appropriately to requests and use independent judgement to take proper action.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining a highlevel of accuracy.
• Abilityto consistently provide a positive customer service experience to our guest,and employees.
• High school diploma and a VALID Driver's License are required
• College Level study work preferred
